WWW: Good use of media language on media forms.
EBI: Lack of media theories across three of the questions. Not a lot written for Question One, Three and Four. Revision and practice required.
1. What three things I am going to do differently in the February mock exam?
3. What grade I am realistically aiming to achieve in the May exam?I want to achieve a grade B or A.
EBI: Lack of media theories across three of the questions. Not a lot written for Question One, Three and Four. Revision and practice required.
1. What three things I am going to do differently in the February mock exam?
- I am going to make sure that I take down a lot of notes so it will be easier to answer the question because I know what to write and include.
- I am going to make sure that I include more theories when I write an answer.
- I am going to try and make sure that my timing is on point so I have time to write enough for all four questions.
3. What grade I am realistically aiming to achieve in the May exam?I want to achieve a grade B or A.

Film Language Test. The Usual Suspects Opening- Learner Response
WWW: Fairly confident across all four questions. Clearly written.
EBI: More content/detail needed. Add examples
Learner Response: Re-write question 3
Question Three:
At the beginning of the clip a non-diagetic sound` is being played this creates tension and suspense for the audience that are watching. This sound is used as an enigma code as it makes the audience think about why that type of music is being played and what might be coming next. When the second man appears who is immediately identified as the villain the music becomes parallel to what is being shown, a man pulling out a gun.

Self Evaluation:
For our preliminary exercise we worked as a group of three. Our short clip was the end of horror/thriller film and was about a girl getting kidnapped but turned out to be possessed and ends up killing her kidnapper. In this clip the kidnapper and the girl are the protagonists. At the start of the clip there is a medium shot of the door opening and the kidnappers legs then as she walks into the attic it turns into a long shot this shows what she is wearing and can show her holding a knife this implies to the audience that something bad is going to happen during this clip. The we use a medium shot again to show the girl that has been kidnapped sitting on chair with her hands behind her. We then use a shot reverse shot and the 180 degree rule when the kidnapper and girl start talking. Then there is a long shot of both of the characters, this shows the setting and the situations both characters are placed in. At the end there is a medium shot going into a short shot, of the possessed girl.
WWW: Overall our production went very well it turned out to be creative and original. The shots through out the clip were used carefully to show where the characters were and what was happening. Mise en scene was used as there were make-up, costumes, props and different types of lighting through out the clip. The setting that we shot the clip in had fit the purpose of it being a horror/thriller story.
